Under a Harvest Moon
I gave Lin the day off, so you're stuck with my musings. I promise she'll be back next month.
Recently I got the pictures below with the question - "Whatcha think". I've always liked this type lamp no matter who made the pottery. To me the "dancers" don't say Shawnee. The bottom is certainly Shawnee like. Although missing the notches in the foot, the sanded foot is normally a Shawnee trait. My first reaction to the dancers was the Chef wall lamp (of unknown maker). I eventually found a picture of him, obviously not related. Sooo - whatcha think?

My next thought is "whatcha" think about this miniature?  Found at the Olde Towne Antique Mall, Main St., Zanesville about 15 yrs ago. There were 6 or 8 of them in different glossy colors, this one seems to be Lobsterware black. After looking at the bottoms I thought glaze tests. The incised numbers tells the story, if you know the code.

My last observation is a Terrace Cerramics sugar bowl. I'm thinking glaze test on this too. Maybe a home ceramic piece, without the dimensions its impossible to tell. Just something that got my attention. I'm easy to amuse huh.
If you are lucky Lin will back next month.
