Some of the flea markets are probably opening up across the country - Arizona is slow to reopen a lot of venues. A few thrift stores have just opened this week but many are still not opening while waiting to see if there is a resurgence of Covid cases. Hope everyone is staying healthy!
An interesting Smiley was recently purchased - has different hand painted flowers on the base - also a stream of flowers on both sides of the base. Not the typical hand painted flowers that are sometimes added!
Someone on Facebook mentioned a procedure to remove heavy grease staining and discoloration with professional grade peroxide - the pictures were absolutely stunning at how the piece turned out - I am wondering if this would also work on the staining we see on the top of many salt shakers - think I will experiment and see what kind of results I get. Does anyone have any recommendation?
A long time collector responded to my request for pictures of his Shawnee jars - some gorgeous unusual decorations!
